Production Worker Sawmill – Night (Stratton)

Introduction

The Production Operator is a member of a dynamic team that strives for a safe and cooperative work environment that allows for optimum production levels of high-quality lumber.

4 days week (Monday through Thursday)

5:30PM to 5:00AM

44 hour per week

Requirements

• Proven reliability and consistent attendance (on-time and consistently works scheduled shifts)
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices
• Respectful attitude with all colleagues, the company, equipment and contractors/vendors
• Multi-equipment capability – willingness to learn to operate other machinery, as needed
• Demonstrate the following: teamwork, problem-solving, attention to detail, reliability & dependability, adaptability, professionalism
• Basic knowledge of machinery and tools
• Very good communication skills
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs floor to waist; 40 lbs waist to shoulders; twist, reach away from body, push, pull, grip, climb, repetitive lifting and bend.  Ability to stand for long periods of time (10-11 hour shift)
• Keen awareness around industrial machinery; situational awareness
• Satisfactory pre-employment physical exam and drug screening
